Welcome back. After working out some kinks with my workflow, I am back to bring Windows 365 Updates with a little guidance to help you understand what’s new in this ever-evolving cloud-based world. This week, several important updates and enhancements were introduced to Windows 365, focusing on device management, monitoring, and compliance. Here’s a roundup of the latest features and changes.

Device Management Improvements

  • Restore Point Health Status

Admins can now view the health status of Cloud PC restore points before initiating a restore. This allows for more informed decisions, reducing the risk of failed restores due to unhealthy snapshots. The feature is available for both single and bulk Cloud PC restores, streamlining disaster recovery and troubleshooting workflows.

Bulk Restore Enhancements

  • Bulk Restore with Health Filtering

When restoring multiple Cloud PCs, you can now choose to skip unhealthy snapshots—unless all available snapshots are unhealthy for the selected time range. This ensures the restore process uses the most reliable data, improving the success rate of bulk operations.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Concurrency Buffer Usage Alert

A new alert is available to monitor concurrency buffer usage for Windows 365 Frontline in dedicated mode. This helps admins proactively manage resource allocation and avoid session bottlenecks.

  • Updated Concurrency Reports

The Connected Frontline Cloud PCs report now displays each user’s session length. Additionally, if maximum concurrency is reached for any assignment, admins can restart Frontline Cloud PCs directly from the report, making it easier to manage user access in real time.

Compliance & Policy Updates

  • Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA) Enforcement

As of April 14, 2025, Microsoft is fully enforcing the Microsoft Partner Agreement. Partners who have not completed the required compliance steps may lose access to Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) and Granular Delegated Admin Privileges (GDAP). Immediate action is required for those not yet compliant to avoid service disruptions.

Broader Microsoft 365 Ecosystem Changes

While not specific to Windows 365, several updates in the broader Microsoft 365 environment may impact administrators and users:

  • Retirement of Azure AD Graph API: Fully enforced as of April 15, 2025. Applications using the Azure AD Graph APIs must migrate to Microsoft Graph to maintain functionality with your scripts and code.
  • Removal of EEEU Permission in OneDrive: As of April 10, 2025, the “Everyone Except External Users” permission will be removed from the root site and default document library in OneDrive to reduce data oversharing.
  • New Security and Data Protection Features: Enhancements in Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, and Purview Data Security Investigations are rolling out in early to mid-April.
