Last week, I had the exciting and rewarding opportunity to participate in TechMentor Live! 360 Orlando as a speaker. The sessions were “Security Is Not Meant to Be a Matter of Convenience” and “Advanced Configuration of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.”
As it was my first speaking engagement at a large technical conference, the event breaking all the previous year’s attendance records, I was a bit anxious but ready. The analogy I used is that studying too much for a test leads you to finally say, “OK, I am done studying. I have got to go take the test.”
Sharing knowledge makes one feel good, especially for those interested in learning. As I remember, only those who shared with me made it possible for me to have a strong, diverse career knowledge.
In addition to the session materials, the speaker’s knowledge and delivery, other great gifts gathered from a technical conference like Live! 360, are the practical lessons learned from individuals you network with. Human Networking is critical to success, as not all written words relate to real-life conditions. Texts are dated materials; sometimes, the non-documented add immense value to your sanity. Then, once you learn the non-documented, it should become the documented.
I would not have had this opportunity if not for the support and election by TechMentor Live! 360 and the Microsoft MVP Community. It was my honor to become a part of the circuit. I look forward to future opportunities.
