Hey Checkyourlogs Fans,
Today we are going to have a look at the Dell EMC Open Manage extension for Windows Admin Center.
Open Windows Admin Center and click on the Settings wheel to see the available extension.
Dell EMC OpenManage Integration with Microsoft Windows Admin Center (OMIMSWAC) enables you to manage the Dell EMC PowerEdge servers as hosts, Microsoft Failover Clusters created with Dell EMC PowerEdge Servers, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure created with Dell EMC Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct Ready Nodes. OMIMSWAC simplifies the tasks of IT administrators by remotely managing the Dell EMC servers and clusters throughout their lifecycle. For more information about the features and benefits of OMIMSWAC, see the documentation at Dell.com/OpenManageManuals.
Click on Install
Windows Admin Center will re-load once the extension has been installed.
Next, connect to one of your physical Dell Servers to see the extension.
Scroll down and click on the Dell EMC OpenManage Integration extension.
Accept the terms of service by clicking Accept.
It took a few minutes for the Inventory Data to appear.
You can see a beautiful dashboard of all physical system resources.
Here is the output from the Physical Disks notice how we can see the endurance left of the SSD Drives.
Overall, I think Dell has done a very nice job on this.
My target system was running Server 2019, and I had no issues getting this to run.
Thanks,
Dave
