Today I had a rather exciting email come in from Microsoft. It turns out that I was selected to be a Charter Member in Stephen Rose’s @stephenlrose program
called the Microsoft OneDrive Expert.
As a Microsoft MVP and Community Influencer this is not the only program that I have been fortunate to be selected for.
To date I have the following Community Awards:
Microsoft MVP, Veeam Vanguard, 5Nine Software Evangelist, Nutanix Technology Champion, and now this amazing one called MODE.
This is going to very cool to hang out with some more of the product teams at Microsoft and see how we can spread the good news about One Drive… Also, looks like I have been included in the SharePoint family so here to raising a glass with all of my friends that are SharePoint MVP’s real soon.
Here is a snip of what I had received from the welcome letter.
Congratulations and welcome as a charter member to the Microsoft OneDrive Expert (MODE) program. You have been identified as one of the top IT pro influencers in the world due to your knowledge and impact on the IT pro community around Microsoft technologies.
The MODE program was launched in March 2017 as an effort to not only drive global awareness and value of OneDrive and SharePoint, but to help influencers like you build community and advocacy around these key technologies. This program helps to expand reach beyond typically-attended Microsoft events like Ignite to more local efforts worldwide. This helps to support you as the “smartest person in the room” on these Microsoft technologies.
Some benefits of the MODE program include:
-
Quarterly meetings with Microsoft to:
- Provide an open communication channel directly with the OneDrive marketing and engineering teams
- Provide feedback for MODE program
- Given a direct channel to help provide feedback around product
- Opportunities to help guide future features and functionality
- Opportunities to speak at Tier-1 events, such as Microsoft Ignite
- Opportunities to participate at events like BUILD, IGNITE in our booth with our engineering and marketing teams
- Technical training
- Ability to participate in pre-release/beta programs (when possible)
- Additional program benefits as they become available
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Tony or me for anything you need. We are here to support you to make your MODE membership successful. Thank you again and congratulations!
